What it is intended to do
Offmodel Personal is intended to help one macOS user keep AI-proposed work separate from reviewed current project state. The person decides what becomes current through supported review and handoff workflows.
Supported document review
In Workbench, an AI response imported for an existing project-relative UTF-8 Markdown document remains a candidate. The person compares current and proposed content, then accepts or rejects it. Before a supported accepted change is written atomically, Offmodel checks its base content and project revision; the transition advances state and leaves a receipt.
The current Workbench document flow has a 2 MiB limit and excludes protected project authority files. It does not govern arbitrary writes made by external AI tools or establish that proposed content is factually correct.
Information carried forward
- project identity;
- current objective;
- reviewed decisions or limitations;
- the exact next action.
The exact exposed fields remain interface- and version-dependent.
Separate Window Switch handoff
Window Switch prepares a bounded handoff for another AI session. The project-side read-only verifier exposes and checks the project identity, revision, checkpoint, objective and exact next action. “Verification received” opens a separate acknowledgement plan. One final human “Confirm Changes” action is required, and project state does not change before that confirmation.

Offmodel offers free read-only access for opening existing local projects and using Inspect and Verify.
No card is required for read-only access. No automatic charge is triggered by downloading Offmodel.
Creating or saving verified project state and preparing a new Window Switch require a purchased and activated licence. Project files remain available without an active licence.
Existing users can choose “Check for Updates…” in Offmodel, or install Offmodel 27.1 over the existing app. If an existing user already purchased Offmodel, the same licence remains valid on that Mac, so a repeat purchase is not required.
Current signed and notarized build
Offmodel keeps reviewed project state in the local project folder. AI tools can produce candidate work; Offmodel controls only supported changes brought into its review and handoff workflows. It does not automatically upload the project folder to an AI. Text manually pasted into an external AI service leaves the computer and is governed by that service.
A signed and notarized DMG is available for Apple Silicon Macs (macos-arm64): download Offmodel 27.1 (version 1.1.2, build 29). The DMG contains Offmodel.app. Direct download, purchase checkout and licence-key delivery are active. Independent clean-Mac acceptance is still pending.
